How to greet each other in Mandarin according to different time of a day?

In the morning/before noon, we can say "zǎo(早)/zǎo ān(早安)/zǎo shàng hǎo(早上好)/shàng wǔ hǎo(上午好)。However, if it is early morning, we don't say "shàng wǔ hǎo(上午好)。Why? Please refer to greetings2 & quiz.

At noon time, you can greet with "wǔ ān(午安)/ zhōng wǔ hǎo(中午好)。

In the afternoon, please say "xià wǔ hǎo(下午好)" as the greeting.

In the evening, you can greet each other with "wǎn shàng hǎo(晚上好)。
