The Sentence Pattern is add "ma(嗎)" to the end of the statement sentence. For example, 她是日本人(tā shì rì běn rén)means "She is a Japanese.".  她是日本人嗎（tā shì rì běn rén ma）becomes a questions, means "Is she a Japanese?
